It had been months of months before i had ever updated my blog for the first time in 2009. SO here i am, inspired by Xinyi to write an account of my experience in Europe, the saga continues ......
27 July 2009 marks the 2nd time that i had went to europe and of course my 2nd WMC. The 1st one being in 2005 with marist alumni. Of course, after clearing so much leave and procedures, i am finally cleared to go. They included taking leave from sch, deferring from RT (oh yeah i going back soon), changing my piano lessons. I will start from the day zero and write a account and maybe include some pictures
Day Negative 7 to Day 0
In summary, yanzhang, youwei and me were involved in the booking of the hostels. Yanzhang and youwei being the coordinator and me being the FC. A lot of planning is done, such as the walking tour and buying of the eurail pass. Learn a lot from the planning of this trip. not easy to plan also with so many people wanting to go so many places. In the end, we had decided on our route which goes like this
Amsterdam (Holland) -> Kerkrade (Holland) -> Prague (Czech Republic) -> Vienna (Austria) -> Salzburg (Austria) -> Paris (France) -> Brussels (Belgium) -> Amsterdam (Holland)
Imagine we want to include Venice (Italy) and London (England) inside this iterary. We must be mad to try to include all this countries. But of course, the thrill of planning such a trip is tat you never know what is installed for you in this episode so read on to know more. Europe here we come. therefore the 12 of us, Yanzhang, Guangliang, Guoqiang, Zhiyong, Marie, Yong An, Chin Kee, Joanne, Youwei, Xinyi, Yi Ting and me is prepared and ready to rock ...
Day 1 (Singapore , Amsterdam)
Reached Changi International Airport @ 1800 with my bro and dad. waited for the rest before going to popeyes for dinner. Last dinner before going to experience europe food. Met up with Chin Kee. ppl from moulmein came to sent some of us off haha, which included Joon Hoe, Terence, Joel, Jeffrey and all the NTU members who did not went such as Kenny (Tau Pok), Mabel, Edmund. Soon after we were inside the check in area after checking in with our instruments (average 22 kg) we are the heavyweights man. Then Yanzhang decide to be funky and took Yong An Cap and yoyoy wassup. Come brother, i can see u like to play flute, come i sell u cheap cheap 500 (that Xinyi and Yi Ting 's flutes). hahaha crap but funny lah, then yong an go and act his "our fav" counterparts slang. On reaching upon the plane, took the usual group photos before boarding the plane and the pictures of the plane that we be taking. I muz say that it is a great improvement from the last time that i had sit on KLM. At least there is the individual in flight entertainment system, in 05 when i went, there was nothing, just a very small TV on the top right and left corner, damn jialat. Guangliang, Marie, Yi Ting and me were seprated from the group maybe becos we changed our date of departure to earlier and that is why we were given different tickets stubs and isolated from other ppl. Yong Sheng is worst, he was sitting alone. As usual, Marie begun her crazy photo taking session on the plane and whipped out a cross puzzle which i lose terribly, i give up after finding about 70% of the words. Marie is good at that. Just realised that only Marie is not the NIE out of the 4 of us .... hahahah ..... No doubts about it. Just realise that 13 hours flight, how are we going to survive this ordeal. Had our meal and lotsa of orange juice and lack of sleep ........ to be continued to day 2
