WMC 2009 Diary

It had been months of months before i had ever updated my blog for the first time in 2009. SO here i am, inspired by Xinyi to write an account of my experience in Europe, the saga continues ......

27 July 2009 marks the 2nd time that i had went to europe and of course my 2nd WMC. The 1st one being in 2005 with marist alumni. Of course, after clearing so much leave and procedures, i am finally cleared to go. They included taking leave from sch, deferring from RT (oh yeah i going back soon), changing my piano lessons. I will start from the day zero and write a account and maybe include some pictures

Day Negative 7 to Day 0

In summary, yanzhang, youwei and me were involved in the booking of the hostels. Yanzhang and youwei being the coordinator and me being the FC. A lot of planning is done, such as the walking tour and buying of the eurail pass. Learn a lot from the planning of this trip. not easy to plan also with so many people wanting to go so many places. In the end, we had decided on our route which goes like this

Amsterdam (Holland) -> Kerkrade (Holland) -> Prague (Czech Republic) -> Vienna (Austria) -> Salzburg (Austria) -> Paris (France) -> Brussels (Belgium) -> Amsterdam (Holland)

Imagine we want to include Venice (Italy) and London (England) inside this iterary. We must be mad to try to include all this countries. But of course, the thrill of planning such a trip is tat you never know what is installed for you in this episode so read on to know more. Europe here we come. therefore the 12 of us, Yanzhang, Guangliang, Guoqiang, Zhiyong, Marie, Yong An, Chin Kee, Joanne, Youwei, Xinyi, Yi Ting and me is prepared and ready to rock ...

Day 1 (Singapore , Amsterdam)
Reached Changi International Airport @ 1800 with my bro and dad. waited for the rest before going to popeyes for dinner. Last dinner before going to experience europe food. Met up with Chin Kee. ppl from moulmein came to sent some of us off haha, which included Joon Hoe, Terence, Joel, Jeffrey and all the NTU members who did not went such as Kenny (Tau Pok), Mabel, Edmund. Soon after we were inside the check in area after checking in with our instruments (average 22 kg) we are the heavyweights man. Then Yanzhang decide to be funky and took Yong An Cap and yoyoy wassup. Come brother, i can see u like to play flute, come i sell u cheap cheap 500 (that Xinyi and Yi Ting 's flutes). hahaha crap but funny lah, then yong an go and act his "our fav" counterparts slang. On reaching upon the plane, took the usual group photos before boarding the plane and the pictures of the plane that we be taking. I muz say that it is a great improvement from the last time that i had sit on KLM. At least there is the individual in flight entertainment system, in 05 when i went, there was nothing, just a very small TV on the top right and left corner, damn jialat. Guangliang, Marie, Yi Ting and me were seprated from the group maybe becos we changed our date of departure to earlier and that is why we were given different tickets stubs and isolated from other ppl. Yong Sheng is worst, he was sitting alone. As usual, Marie begun her crazy photo taking session on the plane and whipped out a cross puzzle which i lose terribly, i give up after finding about 70% of the words. Marie is good at that. Just realised that only Marie is not the NIE out of the 4 of us .... hahahah ..... No doubts about it. Just realise that 13 hours flight, how are we going to survive this ordeal. Had our meal and lotsa of orange juice and lack of sleep ........ to be continued to day 2

had a x mas performance on 26 dec @ ymca , 3 sets of 10 songs each, my chops all gone. this year, my trombone really improve a lot and had to thank weiji, ms chong and prof ho for giving me the chance to play ... ...

chops gone too. hahaha quite a lot of ppl come and support, the ntu ppl such as youwei, yanzhang, mabel , viv or shd i say the other half of the ntu trumpet section, duan jie (for william of course). xiong day but exciting, glad it is over, finally can enjoy my holidays ... ... in hall now, tomolo moulmein spring cleaning .

25 years old meaning i am Cat Y, meaning my ippt will not be so XIONG liao, imagine ur pull up is 5 now instead of 6, and your 2.4km is 12.40 instead of 12.20 ... ... and the list goes on

NIE/Moulmein
almost the end of the sem liao, going to have another round soon in Jan. Before that 2 concerts first in DEC. dun koe what will happen next year, but i hope to arrnage or compose something in the holidays so that either moulmein or NTU can play. Think Moulmein is more feasible. was thinking of a pop song or 太王四神记 . or composing a symphnoic song.

Let me explain my band career since sec 1 ... ...

1996
join Serangoon Garden Technical School Military Band as a Tuba player. been appointed sectional leader at the expense of ming zhi, my sec 5 senior. been promoted to main band in 2 months. learned only how to play 5 notes on the tuba, first song, the sousa medley, with the thunderer, conducted by the late Mr Tan Swee Seng, who passed away recently (Prof Ho told me during NIE band a few weeks ago). was inspired by him as he knows so much instruments and so knowledgeable and was aiming to be like Jay (my senior) , 4e1 , head prefect and top student. How to get ?

1997
sec 2, double promotion, appointed assistant band major, trainee to asrina and baoling my one year senior respectively, join the combo band and play bass guitar the wrong way. haha. elaine (not nyp one lah) quit band 3 days b4 syf, utterly disappointed with it. promised myself if i am the band major of the band one day, would not let this happen to the band, got a grade 4 for band assessment.

1998
sec 3, reach band major, know weiji and learn how to play the flute and trumpet with influence from charlene lim and xiaoping. Kop reeds from SGT(tenor sax reed). tuba improve a bit? know 8 notes now. joined percussion to play mallets too.

1999
sec 4 , full fledged band major, led the band to SYF and got a grade 3, played the tuba and the mallets during SYF. organized the first band camp with guoqiang, libin and mdm yong (band teacher in charge). conduct the band for the first time in my life, during speech day rehearsal. graduated and went on to OI (outram institute) and then SRJC. end of sec sch band life

2000-2002
repeated j1 and did badly for a levels. improvement for band. converted from e flat tuba to b flat tuba in a week, of course with pressure from Mr Leonard Tan YC haha, better dun spell his full name or else he kill me. play in Musical Kaleidescope and Vibrante I and conducted blue moon with weiji on the trombone solo. Played drum set for alumni band for eighties. exposed to more band music and improve as a musicians. finished my double grade 8 (piano and theory)by then, thank you Mr CHong PK. Without you, my piano would be like ... .... became chairman of SRJC Symphonic Band. Joined AI (Audio Image) towards the end of yr 2 in 2002, being brough there by Xiuying (2002 Vice chairman of SRJC SB).turned out to be even better with playing with Daniel, Aaron and Julian.

2003-2004
SAF Band B. played tuba and do formation there. Proud to say i had never siam any parade or took any MC b4 in saf band. enjoy the carefree life there and improve without knowing there with playing of weiji, jinxing, cap yusri cap lee, maj tng and the others in Band B, my batch and pee's batch. Jiajao is inside too. haha. chose not to go Central Band by faking my way and let shunqiang went in, if i knew that he would stop playing after army, i would not have fake and go central band, but none the less , shunqiang and jon is good lah and so they deserved it. haha. Band B also make me learn new stuffs. learn drum set from Hanrong. and percussion with Pee and basketball and soccer hahaa !! formally left AI to go Moulmein with influence from you knew it WEIJI ... .... joined SIA band and learn trombone.

2005- 2008 present
NAFA life. went to wmc with marist alumni and nbc with them too. went moulmein and was appointed assistant chairperson to Kelvin. went to take over in Oct 2005 and shifted to toa payoh south cc. was appointed chairperson in nov 2005. planned a few concerts with moulmein

the response is bad. everything that seem to be happening well in other band is not happening here. why u may choose to ask. The band dun owe u anything and u dun owe the band anything. i wish for players who have more commitments and better playing skills to come join moulmein, if not i rather join other band. we should be like other band (e.g. blahblahblah).

A lot of people had come and go by moulmein. why is moulmein becoming like that. no one take pride in their work anymore. going to moulmein is like nothing to some of us, but why. cos the spirit of the band is not there anymore in the first place. my fault. No one seem to know one another. everyone is critical of one another, we refuse to listen to each other. no one seem to appreciate mr lin, no one seem to care whether moulmein would survive for the next 10 years. no one seem to take band prac seriously, how many of you are actually at the band room b4 1. no one seem to looking forward for the next event. No one is pointing at our own mistakes. no one is perfect and the list can go on and on and on.

i had been a leader for some time now, sec 3 to now (1998-2008), it had almost been ten years. i am lucky to have ppl around me. i got my shortcomings and i am damn CB and NB at times. what i really wanna with moulmein is just everyone play together happily at a decent level. i koe i can be critical of ppl but unless that person is very close to me then i would say, or else i would not say anything. i not a good player, i know that. i juz giving myself excuses. Look at Mus Art, Westwind, Philwind, sometimes even SWS, KSWS, AI and PY, SWO, and the new MWS. they are all facing the same problems but not every band com had a way to handle it. a quote from my brother, if there is no problems for you to solve in the band, you think we still need a band major.

i had been offered post at AI and NIE band but i sincerely rejected them bcos of moulmein. Mr Tan had advise me not to take over moulmein, maybe he had alway see that i do not have the capabilities to bring the band out of the pit hole. it had always been my dream since sec sch to become student conductor or concert master but i was always appointed things that i do not like, but none the less, i try to do my work in the most professional bcos in real life, you are going to face problems that is stressful and work with people u dun like. i am not perfect i know. my conducting is not even decent looking, (look at Mr Hartung had scorned me for my conducting)

ppl for the past few weeks had been telling me they would like to leave the band (some for good and some for sometime). with me alone facing the problem. exams are coming (that juz excuses) there is like no one to talk to and if not i would not spent like 2 hours at jon birthday talking about this and blogging it down for another 1 hour. maybe it is like henry leaving the team, it is good for arsenal. if they need the break, i need it more. i dun like to compare with ppl but imagine my schedule

do i even shun from my respobilities as chairperson. Ya i think got, but look at my attendance for moulmein. SHOULD BLOODY EVERYONE BE ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES

that all, and every time, the air con and most of the chairs would be ready. ppl you think everything is there by default? CCMC meeting, getting budget for this and that. need effort too. if you all are bloody tired and sick of doing something. then i had been digging an endless hole by myself, hoping to find something. cos if i just give up. the band will really collapse. you all can take study leave, i still choose to come. complain all you all one. NATO will not make you a better man. doing all the bloody shitty job will.

even there is only one player in the band, i will still go on. unless the cc wants to close down the band. which means even if all of you all left. i would still be there.

Lately being bothered over NAFA stuffs and Moulmein Stuffs, what new.

NAFA hell week is half way thru, exams are coming fast and furious and for me 2 fast 2 furious.

anyway i was posted to Holy Innocents High School for my School Experience from 23 June to 18 July

moulmein having concert on 1 june , a lot of things to type about moulmein and pondering stuffs that ed had been saying, is it really necessary for such extremes measures for the band to survive, do it even need a reason to survive ? will think about it more when i have more time to think meaning after exams.

got back results , this time round ok lah, i say b4 that i try not to get any D, so this sem, really no D, but got F !!!!

Today also went for IPPT @ Khatib Camp
Upon reaching there, went to the guardhouse and declare my camera phone and saw yibin there. haha what a coindence, then went ot Khativ FCC(fitness conditioning centre) and lock up my bag. Saw Steven there, he also trying to chao keng and had taught me some of the chao keng methods. hahah !! i got my number 041 from the clerk and went to the stations. haven intro, everything there is electonic, so high tech.

Station 1 Shuttle Run

i saw like 100 people there, though that it will take a long time, but after like 5 to 10 minutes it is my turn, still talking cock with Steven when the FS (last time call PTI) call my numbers range 041 to 050 pls come to the left lane. was 4 in queue, saw the fastest timing that batch 9.9 , but see someone getting 9.5 then i though if i can get less than 10.5 i happy already. instead of carrying the traditional bead bags or wood block , now you just need to touch the metal strip on the floor, it is quite sensitive lah so no worry. The Mizuno shoes damn nice to slid, guess my result hahahah

Station 2 Sit -up

After like training for like a week and injured for 3 days, i did a respectable 39 lah, last time in army, i will usually do 40 and stop and usually will have like 17 to 19 seconds left. deproved by 1, but what to do fat and old already. The sensors damn accurate lor, luckily the FS did not say i cheat cos my fellow sit up mates all kenna from the FS. No need anyone to support u, juz beltcrow <-- wrong spelling i koe urself to the ground get in position, and start anytime u wanna.

Since last time in tekong jump 270 cm, i think if i can pass the 214cm mark (passing mark lah) , i be more than happy.

well it is the NAFA holdays but still as busy as ever, still got ATCL to practise, my $645 !!! hgahaha

anyway more things to write think no more, if u guys interested, i would be playing t bone at the jazz festival @ Sentosa at Siloso Beach from 7 to 9 (2 timing not confirmed leh), interested come and support me although as i koe that some one cannot come again haiz.

ok, i got jose name wrongly, cos i was listening to Persis by James L. Hosay, that why i type wrongly, sry jose, i HOSAY lor, spell also can spell wrongly, heard from his e-mail that he is not happy in the pHill and he might be coming back to S'pore. Hope that he could come back and join us soon. We miss ur seasoning for the PASTA, too bad julia, u miss it muhahahahaha, cos she is down with stomach flu.

well had been 3 months already and we are still going strong. Well i would like to say sorry to my NAFA friends, i think we had cause u all a lot of unhappiness and troubles. really sorry.

Went to watch NDP 2006 with dear yesterday, marvellous and splendid, and the nostaglic feeling came back cos i performed in the NDP 2003. SAF Band. At one time, i wanna to get out of it, and now, i wanna to go back. what is this funny feeling, and dear was suprised how come i can memorise all the salute and all the songs even after so long. Well 2 years in SAF band will train u to be adapt at playing salutes and marches. hahahah !! Yong chee, weiji, yongrui and my SAF band all perform at the NDP 2006. NICE NICE NICE.

so fast, 1 week of holidays is just gone like that, and tomolo sch reopen for year 2 sem 1 term 2. so fast, and we are having exams in SEP which in 6 weeks and then we had a month of holidays. I had a chalet on 2 ,3 4, 5 Nov. I haven decided which 2 days i taking cos my brother taking the 4 and 5 Nov for his friends. It is at Aloha Loyang. So peeps, pls keep ur 2 and 3 nov free. It is on the Thurs and Friday. so fast and i signing off .............

Retreat to Hosay House

Had a full long day at school, trying to rush the history homework and other stuffs, so many things to do and no time to do, NBC is coming but dunno koe why, still dun feel the urge of the competition. Practise and intense Practise. That is the basic stuff needed

after sch , the 6 of us excluding Julia(who was down with flu-ver) went to Hosay Condo, we walked thru a "forest" with rugged stones and pathways b4 reaching the condo. Upon reaching Hosay house, we were not used to not taking off the shoes inside the house. then we had a splendid feast of lotsa of things, chips with cream, whole chicken , pasta and rice, and had ben and jerry ice cream too. how to lose weight like that. ahahha.

Sent her home and she very sianz 1/2 cos maybe she is very very tired, maybe today is her piano performance class, come on, lao po i koe u can do it one. KA MA TEH !!!!

Haiz all the things are like dropping n my head, and it is not one by one and it is like everything, yes i mean everything dropped on me or fell on me or whatever u wanna it on me. The burdens, the expectations, the responibility and all the stuffs, ya u koe what am i talking about had been chaining me for a long long time. dun koe what time already now still typing. Typing rubbish now now.

Been 2 months since char had stepped into my life, and thru out , i experience 90% happiness and 10% bitterness. and the 10% bitterness is due to my own feeling or shd i say over zealous over someone, but that had since changed.

Some of my friends either NAFA or Moulmein had reliased that i had changed, and to them i changed for the worst. i cannot really blame them, did i set such a high standard for myself, or am i juz simply too complacent. i really got nothing to say. if ppl am reading this blog, being in a relationship DOES NOT mean the person is changed. Maybe me stubborn but i juz type what i feel now.

2 weeks to the sch already, still in holidays mood

PS is a killer for me, Dr lim gave me 3 CHopin Etudes, 1 scarlatti sonata and scales to practise and even bach Prelude and fugue, i guess i dun even koe whether i can finsh yr 2 in one piece, not adding Dr kan everlasting tons and tons of homework of MOA and History, actually it is not a lot, if one start doing everyday now and there.

well it had been 1 month + already, ya all still going well.

times flies 1 month of holidayas are gone.

firstly this holidays is very fruitful to be, because of DEAR

secondly, my 1st stinct of my reservist is finally over , at Jurong camp where i had to wake up at 0500 juz to reach camp in time and cleaned like 400 over weapons, like m16s1, m203, SAW, GPMG, mortar. okay i explain bit by bit, m16s1 is actually the gun u fnd in CS(counterstrike) the carbine, 30 rounds of magazine. m203 is actually the m16 equiped with the extra grenade launcher. SAW aka semi automatic weapon is the machine gun like og gun, GPMG is general purpose machine gun, like PARA !! haha ?!?! mortar as usual is the like ROCKET AWAY type of weapon. ya. went also to BT everyday except for thursday i think. ya ya u koe, hahahahaha !!

thirdy, my results , did okay only, my PS is the killer, if not for the PS i think my overall grade will improve like crazy.

will try to update but getting lazyier !! haha !??! see my grammar !! sucks to the core !!

Zouk out on wednesday MAMBO-ING with Julia, Marie and Charmaine. Saw felicia there.. ... hmm. this shows that NAFA music student are not classical at all. drank Heneiken, Orange Vodka, Lime Vodka, Bounbon Coke. danced and danced and then went over to marie house to stay over for the night.

Thurs - nothing much was done as there is no tution and went to West mall to do some shoPping. Mother Day present ?!?!?!

Friday - went to weiji house and play ace combat 0 !! ahaha ?!?! cool game, but seems to lose touch, kenna shot by the AA gun and minus 8% health but me more dare devil, cos i flying at attitude of 100 to 150m and shooting all the tanks.

Saturday - went to teach piano in the afternoon, then went to marist band and play invictus and el cumbearano and one euphnium solo. Cool man but too long never play tuba, seems to lose touch. then went for junming wedding. World record, Junming drank like 13 cups (full) of red wine with his guests. HERO !!! then went to orchard to meet char for supper @ mac donalds, then something extraordinary happened ... ...

Sunday - typing b4 hand. Guess going for meeting @ TPSCC and maybe dropping by ESP to photstat and KOP scores from ESP Library.

crap a lot yesterday.

had harmony presentation yesterday, but of course not for me lah, for the other grps, mr yap mark it so hard only one grp got 70 marks !! die liao!! all got 60 ++ , i think mr yap today bad mood bah. siao liao.

went to prac in campus 3 piano till 1345. Waiting for Char to finsh her PS then went to campus 1 to meet the others for the harmony project. Then went to do project with jwen, amy, dora and charmaine - suddenly i realised i am the only one without christian name, hahaha !?!? who wanna to give me, names pls, but i guess dun have christian name is better right. then do and do and buy and buy. Then me no money, then walked her to the Bus stop and then went to teach. have to give the concert a miss (u shd koe why right)

Concerts are over , homework are coming like missles !! FIRE IN THE HOLE !! wait this is for grenades not missles. UP UP AND AWAY !!! haha !?!? what the hell, i typing all these shit in the midst of doing my history portfolio that is due on thursday !! so much stuff going thru my mind. Why is it always so hard to take something and let it go, put it down and walk away !! sound like a song lyrics.

MOULMEIN, lotsa of ppl had advise me to drop it, Leonard and Kelvin and the latest one ba2e2a9498e0aa783f1c29da53c313b2 !!! ahaha !?!?! NAFA ppl shd koe who is ba2e2a9498e0aa783f1c29da53c313b2 (compare the ba2e2a9498e0aa783f1c29da53c313b2, it is exactly the same) random in a very fixed random way !! ahaha !?!) but a lot of people also encourage to go all the way for moulmein, Ya , that ba2e2a9498e0aa783f1c29da53c313b2 also advise me to go all the way , my brothers , both the big one and the small one, and yes the ex-co members of the moulmein. dun koe how long i am going to play in band, i feel that i getting more and more sucky, really cannot play the tuba well already, especially the t bone also, what kaoz leh, total flop, but try to get it back again.

Have aural test today, evan was very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very late ............ 20 minutes !! then we had to begin our test at 0920 but the test went very wrongly, cos the whole test was turvsp torvp <--- i koe wrong spelling but i dun care. surpriselly ms yohana was so patient with the whole lot of us. Firstly the rhythemic, which is suppose to be one of my strongest section, became my worst section. i miss out the 6th and 7 th bar even through i listened to 4 times. is it me or ms Y !! haha !? dun koe, then the melodic one, was so shocked that suddenly on form, can hear everything, think the rhythem part for melodic shd be correct only dun koe whether is my notes is correct or not, then the melodic parts, see the chords progression, it is correct but all the notes are heywire !! be a goner... better pray can pass this test , muz at least maintain that B i got last sem, dun even koe how i got B for last sem !! haha ?!?! but better to maintain. after crusing and swearing by me and all the MOE teachers we went for history tut, Lulu, weixiang and Luke fly my plane, cos they went for the ealier history class, throwing me solo campaign, then on the way i told xiang to help me tell ms Y to change my class, she seem unhappy (dunno why), then luke decided to stay for another session of history tut juz to accompany me, cos i seemed to be the only guy, other than Mark to be in the class. audrey and samuel came late, but dr kan give an expresionless face and continue witht the tut. Watched a video on Marriage of Figaro and a conductor explaining about Mozart 's life story. Actually quite fun to koe the life stories of the composers, but it is like tragedy like that, musicians mostly dun come to a good end, they either die a pauper, of some funny illness or tumours. haiz. Went to makan then with enxin, char, marie and julia at Funan. They suggested to take bus then shelfed their plan when i told them that we are already halfway there to Funan when we reached the national library. haha ?!?! then keep on suaning enxin LOVE-LESS !!! haha ?!!? cos she lose by a game on thursday battle of solitare showdown !! 5 games to 4 games !! haha !?!? okay, then treat enxin and char for some mango pudding and i ate jap food with almond pudding . Then we proceed to mita building. which some of the ppl are already there already then we proceed up to for canning hill. Luckily go thru NS liao, this hill is nothing man !! but remind me of the "rocky" hill that we charged up when we having section fighting battle. only miss out the trees and the thorns on the ground, the ant nest and of course the poo and pee of various ppl. then we will throw thunderflash to emulate grenade, then we charge out of the greeny and started shooting the blanks like mad ppl !! haha ?!?! ok out of point !! then went to listen to a lecturer from NAFA to explain about the work, we was like "riding on a horse and seeing the flowers" meaning we dun have actually enough time to sit down and see what we wanna to see, soon after marking attendance we was allowed to leave, b4 we leave luke offer me a red sweet that SUX big time, taste like rubber like that. then took out and decided to go to Boon Lay straight since got 174 from mita building, then took the same bus. We talked throughout the journey lor... ... keep toking about crappy and corny stuffs, also dun koe what we toking. Took thru orchard, then at tanglin bus stop and tok about my NS days in SAF band. Then passed by lulu house and she still got the cheek to ask me to alight !! what the diaoz lor!! then suddenly she ask me what i going to do, since i reach bukit timah already like 1630, when the band practice is at 1930, which i am correct when it started even later at 2000 and after sectionals, we begin prac at 2200. Then i ask her what she doing at home, SLEEP is what she said?!?! then we go gaga again ?!?! keep on calling her SG and CG(if u happened to read this, u shd koe right, but i guess no one read, so nvm mind). Then the kind "she" accompanied me to west mall and walk walk. Then i ask whether her mum mind or not, then she say she dun wanna to go back so early so okay lor, went to west mall. We walk and walk and dun koe what we doing, then keep complaning that if next time our gf or bf gos shopping with us, they confirm die, cos she dun like to cook and do window shopping and me of course shop with a purpose and i would juz dump my gf to do do her shopping and i go walk my own, cos i really cannot stand waiting for something that is like got no purpose onelor, like why i go west mall, cos near her house and i wanna to buy comics. First we went to the comics shop, then to the arcade, but like got nothing to play like that, then went to a music shop beside the arcade, then went to a CD shop and then went to the library and upon seeing no space then we decided to have a bite. we walked around aimlessly like ghosts, cos she said she dun koe where to walk with a guy lor and me of course, how i koe this girl dun shop and we juz wandered around aimlessly in west mall. Around west mall in 15 minutes lor !! ahha ?!?! 6 storeys. Then we decided to go and draw money, wa she draw so much then i juz say go to any restuarents and makan, since she so rich !! we passed by all the fast food and decided on MAC. Order my dinner and i wanna to treat her but she insist on paying, so okay lor. we makan finshed liao then and was taking out my MOA to do but her mum called. diao !! haha !??! then the most funny thing is she dun wanna to answer !! haha ?!?! then she keep saying nvm mind, but i insist that she go back home, or else her mum will be worried. then went back and see her back, then she say in a sacratsic <-- spelling error way that "wa , so sweet" , then i reply " upperthen, then i bitter iz !! @##%@^%#%#^" then start to laugh like maniac agains !! aja !?!? soon she reached home and we parted our ways, hers to her bed and mine to Boon Lay 's NTU-NIE band room !! ahaha ?!?! did MOA on the bus !! funny feeling (in all sense) Then had full band and had sectionals and played with youzhi !! haha !?!? lucky got him or else nie band very bored liao, same interest and we both play piano and tuba !! ahha !??! then finshed the band prac and went to home with peiqi, yanzhen, ernest in hockguan's mini "van" MPV !! haha !! that finshed my eventful friday .. Duno why i blog today, juz came back from julia 18 birthday chalet from aranda countryclub. Had a crazy time there. celebrated 3 birthdays from our MOE grp, charmaine last friday, marie on thursday and julia on friday and enxin one is on 16 apr.

went to marist and celebrate lin sheng birthday also. diao, birthday and more birthdays. tok with lin sheng for almost an hour about how to improve moulmein, really glad to have lin sheng lor, hiaz, the band dun apprciate hahaha.

First daily blog in centuries !

Kicked off, by passing the ball to Zhenqiang (the tupid guy from MOE yr 1 NAFA teaching) going to Mr Yap "lecture" tutorial. Mr Yap juz came back from reservist and his face looked stern and i guessed he was be suffering from reservist syntom, but i though reservist is supposed to be lame and slack, maybe mr Yap is in an active unit and kunna Reacon 1 !??! hahah !?? ask him whether can we transfer someone from other groups to our grp, cos xuemin and ! maybe, then he go thru the exam format with us in class and 1 hour was soon up and class was dismissed.

Went to the studio 06-20 for a harmony game discussion with Amy, Jwen, Charmaine and Dora. had very funny and tupid ideas about the game. Introducted a lot of ideas into a simple game.

Then went to celebrate Charmaine birthday at Pepper lunch at Taka! CHarmaine aka the rich taitai aka silly girl aka (too many nicks to call her) treated us. then had to left halfway cos got PS .

Now the real story begins, met Ivan on the way and he was complaining how come i took ataxi and he took a bus to ms lim house. Once i reach there, the utimatnium begins. I begin by warming up the scales and then ms lim walys spend the entire 1 hour correcting my Beethoven Op.10 No. 1 SOnata in C minor. Today really minor modal, then ms lim begun to say that my piano playing is not up to standard and she ask me to drop piano as a major and go to tuba instead. Very demoralised, i koe that i lousy in playing, but it is so bad that i cannot play piano anymore in NAFA. Yes i screwed in a lot fo places b4.. PSLE, A levels, Grade 8 piano pratical, Relationships, Piano performance, world music compeititon (holland) , SYF 2001 SRJC and even SAF Band time .......... basically my life is full of mistakes. but what shd i do, really drop piano and concertrate tuba or give up everything about band and learn only the piano in order to play among the stars in NAFA. I dun apsire to be a very good pianist but i would like to be a decent one. an ATCL would be suffice for me for my NAFA years and maybe if i can, i try for LTCL.

Well the woodlandsgirl complained that i did not updated my blog for very long time, cos i use all the time to go running, haiz reservist in may !! HELP !! fatter and unfit, what can i do, been running at least 4 times a week but do not seem to slim down leh, dun know what to type , typing rubbish also, history and moa, although there is much homework to do, i still see light, aural and sight singing, gone case liao, i dun koe what to do liao, and Dr goh and ms yohana giving test in the first week of march, it is not that i hate them, it is the subject, why should i sing when i can play other instruments, although i muz admit that singing really invovle one pitch, but i dun think it benefit me a lot, now, i onyl got b flat and A perfect pitch, and that is achieved during my band practices instead of choir practices, i really dun koe, how did ppl like Leonard and Dr Goh get their perfect pitch trained, dun believe it man!!

Moulmein, had been seeing mr lin not very happy with my committee, so i had to take responsiblity to settle this, but the prom is not much ppl is willing to respond , kaiboon , youzhi, jeffrey, sean yong chee !!! they are ones who try to lessen my burden. give a very bad impression to mr lin and the talk in WMC is like i talking bullshit lor, he say he wanna to very good band to conduct up to date, only i think the trumpets section is really up to his standard and it is becos of kenneth, ivan and edward and co and of course ryan and qingyang they all, wenjing and beth and siling.

Have been thinking, am i trying to hard to find a gf or not trying very hard to find a gf !!

Chinese new Year bloggie

Finshed my visiting in 4 hours, it is getting shorter by the year, 15 years ago, i need 3 full days to finish visiting all my relatives, now, hahah sianz 1/2 , 4 hours, what is happening to our chinese culture or rather mine, some of my relatives went overseas, cos some of them had only this holidays to go overseas, but others (not my relatives) delibrately pon chinese new year to skip the giving of the hongbao !!!haiz !! what is this? wonder next time if i got married , will i pon (teacher's salary very low) the hongbaos too ?!?!?

played all sorts of games today at home after visting some friends, but tomolo going mr leonard tan house for bai nian and friday the huan dao zhui zhui zhui around singapore, dun koe got how many ppl but i guess it will be fun bah, luckily i brough my s$97 all transport concenssion e stamp, unlimited Bus rides and MRT rides ! i am Wu Di !! ahha !?!?

Juz feel very bored. During weekends blogs, i shall not tok about NAFA stuffs.

MWS (moulmein) is finally having its 1st prac after so long.
good or bad, we shall see,

NIE Band - when David took out fantasy variations, internal combustion and even samurai, i koe that something is wrong liao, when did NIE play such high level pieces?????? all at least grade 5 and 6 and then Mr chairman Tan told us that NIE band also Participating in NBC 2006 open Cat !! wa kaoz. !! sianz 1/2 NIE band going for compeititon ? sianz 1/2 !! prac and more prac

Haven been blogging for the few days, people might be wonderng how come i did not blog for a few days, it is because i been lengthening my summary to my trip to guangzhou and hong kong and i haven type finshed, sian, really dun have the time to finsh some of the things that i would like to do.

Firstly, so much homework to do. u name it, i need to do, aural (while doing and blogging, power hor), history (the never ending homework) MOA (an killer !?!?!) and of course my PS (haven been touching piano for 4 days (excluding the 2 pieces i played at amy house at her birthday, because of a finger injury). so people, studying music is not FUN. haha ?!?! except for the homework u need to do, otherwise it is ok la !!?!?!

Band, finally, Moulmein is BACK !! i having second thoughts about that. since i took over in july 05 , i got a lot of ideas for the band and finally it is on course with the support of the old and new members, but the truth is i very scared that how the first prac will turn out to be, will people have attitudes, as in they turn out for the audition and decided to not come for the band. you maybe suprised by people like these, but they do exists. haiz, is it really worth all the trouble that i had undergo for the band. sometimes i also dun koe why i do so much for the band. juz be like someone, dun care about anything, then juz go for regular band prac juz like NIE. i am a player there, i juz play my tuba and music without caring anything about the committee and the concert planning and all the necessary details. haiz, could anyone give me money to really revamp moulmein !! haha !??!

Adventure in Guangzhou and Hongkong

This is the 2nd time i typing this, cos someone got and turn off my computer and everything that i type from day 0 to day 8 was erased in an instant. haiz sianz 1/2 and there is , revived of the adventure..... or shd i say the adventure re-begins......

Day 0 (singapore)
Spent the whole day at home trying to pack my stuffs to bring over, seems to be lighter than what i brough to WMC holland. Did not brought any food over there as i heard that there are 7-11 there and i can buy the instant noodle there if i feel hungary. pack and pack and played the piano for the last time b4 i go for 8 days without playing anything, second time in this year liao, or else i had been playing on my natural b piano (cos it is not tuned for 7 years liao, so it is flat till from natural keys to a flater key of a semi-tone). Then did some last minute packing and sorting of my clothes of the full concert attire and went to bed and zzz......

Day 1 (singapore-Guangzhou)
The day that i had been waiting for had finally come !! The day that i going to CHina had come finally, woke up quite early for the first few things in the holidays at around 0600 and go and bath and change into our concert attire, later i will explain why i change into the concert attire. armed with my luggage and my kiwi-ed old No. 3 shoes, i headed down to my void deck to see Jinxing and Weiji waiting for me liao, when i open the door, same comments, yoyoyo Yandaos !!! then what i see for like WTH !! jinxing was wearing casual wear and me formal concert attire. Ligtening STRIKES and Thunder ROARS !! Wt heck man, hahaha, on the journey, weiji was wising us to have fun and i could see his dejection on his face man, both me and jinxing were leaving for so called holiday and mrs ng (obvious right , his GF lah) is leaving for Japan, DOUBLE KO for weiji !! haha !??! but i promise that i will buy something back for him and soon after we reach the airport and i took leave of weiji and he left with his PS2 , preparing to play ace combat 5 again, he an ace pilot man, siao siao one. he is a sickening good flyer juz like my brother, i always kenna thrashed by them in the dogfight in the ace combat. the only games that i can win weiji and my brother is winning eleven !! haha !??! then i quickly run to the toilet and change to half uniform, the casual top and the formal bottoms !! haha !??! what the !?!? soon we board our plane without any hassel and the plane took off smoothly. everything was fine before there is a annoucement by the captain.

"ladies and gentlemen, may i have ur attention, we are predicting that a typhoon might be coming in our flight path and we may had to detour to avoid the typhoon, the new flight path would take a further 20 more minutes to reach Guangzhou, thanks you and have a nice flight."

Diaoz, it is like what the diaoz lor. haha ?!?! typhoon, the only typhoon that i know is the typhoon fighter in ace combat 5 !! ahhaha !??! forget the lame me!! haha !??! then soon after we fly and fly and fly and eat and eat and eat on the plane, so cute play mario and watch a lot of movies on the plane and entertain myself, soon after we reach Guangzhou's newest Bai Yun (white cloud) International Airport, which is the other airport other than our Changi International Airport which can house the latest A380 airbus !! haha !??! then when we reach the customs, we found another name for visitors visting China, ALIENS !!! haha !??! i saw this on the wall of the immgration counter and it say something like this, cos i could not rermber everything

"all aliens, other than China Nationals, pls come to the respective counters for recognition and for checks".

My gang, jinxing, jarren, eng seng, david, guanghan, lawson (aka Blossom) and me and gavin were the last few people to get past the counter and gavin was taken to have a check on his bag and we joke that becuase he look like a terrioist that why ahahah !?!?! soon we went to dinner first which is quite near our hotel and had quite a fill. Soon after we went back to our hotel and saw someone giving out namecards for hmmmmmmm...... censored kids are not supposed to know all this and the old uncle with a baboon, i heard stories from my parents that the baboons are being trained by its owner to steal wallets and others things from them and i quickly told my gang and the others and then we settle down our stuffs and then we meet Ben and the others at the hotel lobby for the first night in Guangzhou shopping spree. I think people have a wrong impression of china not being a shopping paradise, and how wrong were all of us, i changed only 300 RMB (remmingbi) and the rest had a fun time shopping in guangzhou at Beijing Lu (road). Siao one they all, the temperature at night at guangzhou is about 12 degress and they still go and buy ice cream. Siao !! haha brough some sovenoirs from the shop. Soon after we go buy cup noodles from the nearby 7-11 and spent our first day and night in guangzhou and this ends day 1.

Day 2 (guangzhou)
Morning call @ 0830 and in the end, haha everyone was late for breakfast, they had a funny rule that only if the table reach 10 people, then they will start serving the breakfast, so my table very suaiz, got only 9 people, we the 7 swords plus ben and jocelynn (correct spelling or not, or else she will not lend me music foundation skills notes next time if i got her name wrong) !! haha !??! the 7 of us are those who went thru the customs together lor !?!?! then have a dim sum buffet and had quite a fill and then we was ready for the concert at Guangdong Univercity of Forgein Langauages , we had a short tour around the school campus and they told us that tishis is juz one fo the 4 campus connected and i was like what the, their one campus is also the same as maybe one NUS lor !!! (sry for my typo, i typing this @ 0256 in the morning) and we went there for reherseal, their normal school auditiorium is 1800 seaters. i was like what the diao lor !!! juz a normal auditorium is 1800 seaters, the esplanade victoria concert hall can be demolished liao lor. then we played thru our pieces while awaiting the arrival national junior college. Then we was conducted by Mr Jospeh Cheung , the president of the hongkong band assiocation. Then had a combined reherseal with njc and then with the guangdong uni, they only got 1 tuba and we got 9 tubas !! hahaha?!?! soon after we had our fast food packed dinner and we changed to our concert attire. Then there is one xinghai conservatory tuba graduate keep wanting to play Jin Xing 's tuba. hahha ?!?! he play and play and like it even more hgahah !?!? soon after the concert started. although it is almost a 1000 people turned up, but the concert hall like ma chiam half filled and does not looks very impresiive cos we were told that it will be a full house. Soon after we played finshed, there was no encore. I REPEAT THERE WAS NO ENCORE !!!!! diaoz !?!? this is the one and only and first concert to be without an encore. We did our usual thank you speeches and then headed back to our hotel and soon after resting for half an hour, it was time for shopping spree episode 2, but this time we went to the other side of Beijing Road and went to see the olden ruins of the pathway during the Song Dynastry very chio leh, they framed it up and let people see how the ancient ruins roads looked like in the original state very chio, then they went to shops to shop and i did not brough a lot of thins except for some weights training and some clothes. the tempeature was rather cold , about 13 degrees, very shiok !! soon after we met ben and co on the way and we went to eat wan ton noodles t 0200 !! power or not. soon after we were all KO and dragged our wearily bodies back to our hotel ............ (end of Day 2)

Day 3 (guangzhou) adventure in Xinghai Conservatory of Music
as most of us are late for breakfast, they decided to push the morning to 0930, but the prom is, we are still LATE. HAHAHHA !! typical singaporeans ?!?!?!!? then we make our way with my bulkly instruments tuba plus bag, sianz 1/2 lor !! haha !??! then squeeze our way to the bus and make our way to xinghai conservatory, on our way to Da Xue Cheng (Uni city, it is on an offshore island of guangzhou), we went to visit a bee farm, so fun. Then yizhen was like so scared of the bees that she kept running about the farm cos she thinks that the bees will sting her. Anyway i got the chance to really see the queen bee and all the honey and bee-related products that the bee farms produce and the honey water (Mi Tang SHui) was so pure and sweet and fresh that i drank 3 cups of it !! yummy !! a bit pai seh cos i drank jinxing and ben share, cos they think that it is too sweet for them, maybe i am destined for a bee's life, to be ever working !! hgaga !?!? juz joking ben and jinxing, they are also working very hard, one for his YST and one for his Eng/Lit students !! haha !?! then shortly, we part off of the farm and proceed to xinghai. Phew !! we spent about an hour waiting for NJC and then we went to vsit the piano fac. WTH !!! they got 600 rooms with pianos inside which is about 6 storeys !!!! how many pianists are there man !! 600 !! this is really a piano fac block man. imagine the whole of NAFA campus 3 is filled with piano, everywhere every corner !! wth !! ahha !??! why NAFA cannot be like that. ahaha !?!? although some of their pianos are Yamaha , some of them use horner and pearl river !!! haha !??! but it is okay lah, u give me a steinway or a pearl river piano, i still sound as bad !!! hhaha !??! diaoz !!! then we tour around the school and went to showcase our band, they were quite impressed by our sound, of course lah, got NJC gold with honours band leh and NIE !! haha !! they were shocked that we were not music students, except for some of the NIE BA ppl and me NAFA NIE ppl !! haha !??! then we broke down into percussuion, woodwinds and brass sections to have our own activity. I not very sure what the ww did, but i heard from sunshine that it was quite boring, the xinghai ppl playing and demoing their own stuff, percussion side i can only hear laughter from the side, while we the brass had 3 sets of brass qunitet, one rep from NJC, one rep from NIE and one rep from Xinghai, when i say one rep, means the full brass qunitet, 2 trumpets, 1 french horn, 1 trombone and 1 tuba. soon we had our dinner there and there we bade farewell to them. soon again, round 3 of the shopping spree and the last night in Guangzhou , i leave with a good impression, zhujiang, laandmark hotel Canton, bee farm, Xinghai !! haha ?!?!

Day 4 Guangzhou - Hongkong
Went to the 2 music shops and purchased lotsa of scores and instruments accessiores and of course DVD. I brough Lang lang latest Rach 2 and paganini varitation for only s$ 8, and it is original !!!! haha !?!? then the brandenburg concertos DVD s$5, all my exams pieces 5 books cost about s$25 !!! cheap cheap cheap !!

The rest of the journey to the south, Shenzhen - Hongkong shall be continued tomolo .....

4 more days to go ...... go where ...... hk and guangzhou .... still dun wanna to pack my bags, still got nie band later meeting jx to change money. A lot of things had been spinning around in my mind, after reading like a lot of my friends blog, and my results what can i say.

sometimes, had been thinking for a long while, i had been starting to teach for some time, is there something wrong with me that i was not teaching the right way, was i too easy with them, or do i not prepare my materials and answers before going for lessons, or am i being a smart alex to try to teach so much. in tution, my tutees did okay for their PSLE, one got 208 <-- above her mum expectations and the other got 150 <--- she average <100 for the past year. So shd i be happy cos they both went to the schools that they would like to go hougang sec, where my beloved mrs lai is teaching upper sec maths. If not for mrs lai, i dun think i can ever pass my maths in secondary school, so people from hougang sec, better cherish a very very good teacher. and the other one, went to holy innocent high. My alma mater for pri sch, but the school is really not bad, juz renovated although got rumours about it being a very good class for the very good and the very bad for the very bad, that means the standards differs too much. Wonder what cca are they going to join, and they told me b4 that they will not be joining band !! hahaha?!?! next to my other students, one of them actually say that i very lousy in teaching him piano stuffs, which i agree because i dun practise his exams pieces when i teach him and my theory a bit hay wire. Ya i koe i not very good enff to teach but sometims when u heard ur students say that, u also cannot do or reply anything. he got so much bad habits and i keep changing him and he still dare to ask me, is it correct to change, can ask my teacher or not. WTH !! cool it, ice pls ....................... ok . but his brother was totally the opposite, he like my lessons and enjoy my lessons but i dun koe is it i cannot teach upper grades or i more suited for lower grades. enff of that.

Next thingy my band, is it my fault, is audition a muz for band, yeah to me yeah. people tend to be scared of audition because u are being grilled by people that u barely know and they will decide whether are u in the band. haiz nothing to say, recruitment drive okay lor 24 for the 1st round after a series of play aeroplanes and cos someone dun join that why i dun join logic. had very sianz day yesterday, went with lu heng to kimseng cc to pass up our form, and we went to the wrong CC , we went to bukit Ho swee !?!?!?! diaoz !?!? all so near within each other. whahah !?!?

Today normal day, train my WE9 , finally won the konami cup 5 stars using of course England, all the score like 2-1 , 1-0, 3-2 .......... haizz, my defence suxs man !?!?!? whaha !?!?!

Only remember what happened during saturday,
Morning put 30 dollars in my wallet, first destination NIE meeting for WASBE,thought was late, then take taxi from JP 6 dollars gone, haiz delayed the meeting for an hour, ended late, then sianz, taxi to Clark Quey 17 dollars gone, then to a disappooitning band prac @ toa payoh 7 dollars gone again, 30 dollars on taxi fare am i mad ? why am i doing all these to please ppl, Haiz wtf !?!?!? and always say how come no full band,

DO YOU PEOPLE OF MY BAND REALLY THINK I DUN LIKE FULL BAND. I WAS PRESIDENT SINCE SEC SCH, THE BEST THING THAT I LIKE BAND SO MUCH IS BECAUSE OF FULL BAND. U THINK I REALLY DUN CARE ABOUT THE STATE OF THE BAND NOW !

If one is so good, go and re organise the band, go and get the grant from the CC, go and tok to conductors to come and conduct, come and settle the disputes of the various cca grp in the cc. go and help the QM with his checking of the instruments lah, go and borrow scores from other sch and organisation lah, go and arrnage the tables and chairs after every band prac lah. what the heck is going on. here am i trying to make the band work , and there ppl are NATO(no action tok only) i really appreciate sean, ting, kai boon and the others for tolerating my temper during band, but the others, pls &$*%^$*^%#^%#^#*$%$%(^%()*&%(#$#@&$@&* . what the heck !!

Spend the whole day playing winning eleven with jiahao. woo hoo, i beat a 6 star team 2-1, england vs brazil, rooney score with a wonderful right foot shot in 23 min and beckham's trademark freekick from the right in 79 min. Brazil scored the consolation Ronaldo, who tricked my robinson and score with the simpelest of tap-in in 90 ++ min which is injury time lah. But re train with jiahao today and aquired some new skills. yeah !??!?! whaha !?!? Nutmeg, thru run stop ,faking the shot and lotsa of stuffs YEAH !??!

haha?!?! Summary of tuesday, went watch mr Harry Potter and his goblet of Fire with mr wu jia hao at Bedok. B4 that, we had a winning eleven compeition first match, CHINA versus US , final score at full time 0-0, china damn lousy, in extra time, 2-1, small win, luckily me, if go penalty, confirm lose (me sux big time at penalty) , then man city versus juventus. 6-1 <--- dun koe why, i only shot 6 shots in the whole game and all get in. diaoz nothing to say, the last goal was a consolation scored by me(yeah isn;t it obvious an own goal"), then went to watch movie. went to tution also, tution spree man. wed, going to bandroom to take score for fredy cos mr lin wanna the vervisus score. and of course tution again. watching man u match now. read some of my nafa friends' blog, hope everything will go smoothly for all of them, less quarrels less problems and be more happy ?!?!?!

Saw from Shufeng blog that Leonard and Angeline baby boy boy finally came out on 21 Nov 2005. Next time army confirm platoon 4, 5 lvl hahaha !?!? anyway, leonard jr will be someone who like and have (let me think, hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.........), got perfect pitch, play the tuba and conduct like Leonard, play piano and percussion like angeline. very scared at the though of it man. whahah !??! when is my brother weiji and mrs ng pei jun turn , in wonder, whahaha ?!?!?

Well concert and then went to ting house there to makan supper b4 heading back home.

nie 30th concert, phew, finally it is here, i took a 1 hour train ride from my house to Boon Lay, imagine how much if i am going there for the 4th year, die liao, then the concert, was rather played ........ no comments, but at least i found out who is Mr Peter Stead, my future yr 2 classroom teaching modules teacher. whaha. then went for coffee with jiahao and jinxing and as usual weiji fly his plane again as usual. whhaha !?!? monday will be a better day !!!!

Today is a contrasting day, woke up in the morning to play maple story and with my boy, with his toy soldiers and MASK cars lying around for me to kick.

Afternoon

Went to NAFA to prac piano. CAN U BEILEVE IT? i actually practise, lan lan no choice sux thumb bcos my house piano is flat by one semitone, reason being the piano is not tuned and serviced for about 7 years. Therefore conclusion, if u dun tune ur piano for 7 years, u will get a B natural Piano. 14 years later, u will get a B flat Piano. Cool right ! <-- sound like woodland gurl again. then collect results. Though that my history goner liao, at least get an C. Study skill lucky B.

Evening

Went for Ms Lim's BBQ and Tian You Bu Ce Feng Yun, it actually rained when i wanted to BBQ. What the *$$@**&)%^*^%%#%* !?!?! (sensored, because i feel that these symbols can make ppl understand better than the actualy words). Then knew Zheming, Yushi and Rachel (the 3 talented and scary ppl) whahha. Saw charles, ivan and lotsa of NAFA's Ms Lim's students. Had to leave early cos of NIE band

Phew, long time nvm blog liao, using dragon balls to revive it man. Actually i stopped blogging before i go NAFA and WMC so going to be a long bored summary of what i did from July up to the 1st sem of NAFA ends. haha, for those who link me (obvious who right, Miss Woodlands) recently, sry lor. Rather than blog everyday , change format better special day then mention. By the way, anyone who wanna anything frm guang zhou and hong kong better msg me fast b4 the trip.

July 11 (flashback, use ur imagination)
first day of sch, orientation, waiting for the only person whom i knew b4 comin to NAFA, Fhairil. knew him in my band for a few years liao when he still in BPS. Found him and went for orientation together but had to separte becuase he more zai, he in performance, me in teaching, lucky in teaching also found some that i knew, ahhaha , Amy. wgahha !??! koo koo liao, then she recognise and shoot me questions, low profile low profile. then went for lunch together with the teachers batch and then went home after WHAT 1 day of orientation from 9 to 4? diaoz, the shortest orientation that i had ever went to. OI was 4 days and sr was a week. haiz, is music so worstless in today ' world, discuss. GP essay. Joking lah.

July 18
My brother's (weiji) b dae and so zhun that NTU and he going to WMC on the same day (cos he helping NTU what, what the &$@ am i toking about, crap again), , nice birthday present man, sent him off at airport, 2 more days baby, after months of intensive band training for WMC, 2 more days!?!?!?!?!?!

July 20
Bad Day, had a super duper long day with the famous Dr Kan, cos wed is dr kan's day, all the lessons from morning to afternoon is all Dr Kan 's lessons. then she dragged the lessons till 1830. My Plane to Holland leave at 2030 and i am still in SCHOOL. WHAT AM I DOING !?? Reach home at 1948!?!?! quickly rushed home and packed my belongings, armed with camera reached airport at 2029, phew !??! check in in time with rest, finally on the plane KLM, ANNOUCEMENTS, NEXT TIME WHEN TAKING LONG DISTANCE FLIGHT PLS TAKE SQ(SINGAPORE AIRLINE) DUN TAKE KLM !!! Can die man 12 hours of flight !?!?1 nearly die on the plane. Guess what i did on the plane, no prizes for guessing the correct answer, yeah baby , read dr kan's history textbook (Stanley sadie, yeah i koe, but i haven unwrapped the book) and did the journal and portfolios on the plane. Soon reach Holland at 0515 AMSTERDAM time. very shiok, imagine the sun is very bright and the temperature is only 17 degrees. SHIOK ?!?!?!?. Went to tour Amsterdam on a boat and coach ?!?!

23 July
MSSAB 's COmpeitive date. As usual, everyone was damn nervous, although i told the band that we had practise so hard for this day, we better dun throw Singapore's Face away., so we got nothing to lose and we better play, CHina 's beijing 166 middle sch, (funny name i koe) they got 146 members , wah koaz ?!?!? MSSAB hahahah !??! 35 members ?!?!?! how to fight, but very shocking. SHiok feeling playing in Netherlands, and it is true that u will power up when u are in other countries playing. Then we lvl up. The China band play a suona solo with band accompaniement. We play all the explosive songs, jericho and Vervisus !??!?!

When i saw 24---- something, i was the first one to jump to shout GOLD GOLD GOLD GOLD GOLD !??!?!?!?!?! yeah, the annoucemner dun have the chance to say, the others was puzzled how come i koe, 80 marks is gold, 3 judges will give 80 each so at least everyone muz give total 240 to get gold. the others join in and like ma chiam we gets gold with honours in SYF, but this is WMC leh, although 3rd div. but a gold is a gold !?!?!? whaha !?!?! after months of hard work

Went for MF Band today, nothing much happen and yesh i played the t bone again, now training to be part-time t bone player, but leonard advise not to play too much t bone , yesh baby, my first love is still TUBA !! tuba rulzz !!! whahha !! then went to esplande and borrow books and then went out with JX and Ji !! whaha !!

Slack the whole day, plan my time and scedule until that monday is free from all tutions and attachments, cos of the Monday blues !! juz kidding juz a excuse to laze myself around at home and kunna scolding from my mum , (tidy ur music scores lah, tidy ur room lah so messy, new year coming leh) and all these and of course, play with Han-han !! whaha !! played the computewr for a while and it kunna virus , sianz, had to repair it !!! luckily ah cong studies IT in TP, or else the whole computer die !! whaha !!

Eventful day !! My mum birthday, then saw her went out with my dad for a very long breakfast cum lunch cum dinner cum supper birthday treat. diaozz !! whaha !! then went to support all the SAF band members (present and the past) for the NTUSB concert conducted by mr Luk!! but b4 that have a tution session with siying (yeah vomit blood again) then went for coffee with aloy, justin and kok wee at BK b4 going to NUS to makan with weiji, weiji -sao (peijun), wenhua and jinxing !! whaha !! reached home record time 0241 !!!

Actually planned to go Leonard House, but he got something last minute and had to postpone to wednesday !! whaha !! then spend the time slacking off and doing materials with Jiahao to plan something for the JC 2 for the band camp thingy !!

Eventful day again
1. My younger sis " Birthday !! whaha !! she so fast 15 th already,
2. Went to visit leonard and had breakfast and lunch near Leonard House !! sianz 1/2, me hougnag jiahao tampanies, all the way to Bukit Gombak !! can die man !! then "ransack" and view his 23 storey apartment !! whaha !! first time take lift muz transfer at 13 then go to 23 one !! so fun !! whaha !! then borrow a lot fo CD and DVD from him to watch !! next time can go his house to study already !! his books like ma chiam mini esplande and his music room "cd" is like a mini esplande too , with all the various instruments lying around !!
3. Then went back to SR band to teach them !! they tomolo camp !! whaha !! so see what can we help in doing !!
4. After that, went to teach Siying Tution (ya Same story vomit blood again) !! whaha 1! then went to play Maple and GB !!

First time going to Rosyth SChool as a instructor for mr Aw, learn and suprised by lotsa of things earned my first pay as a band "ppl" waha !Kids nowsday are really very good players !! ! then went home and taught emmanuel tution !! then went toSR band Camp at 2245. They was all so suprised to see me there, and then went coffee with JX and Ji !!

SR Band camp second day, went at 0900 and stayed till 2300 !! nearly dun reliase the time, become close with some of them, and played 2 hours of piano in LT 2 while waiting !! and it is Hari Raya Haji and Alan came back and visit the Band , on the pretext of giving Meihui her present !! whaha !!

Went for Jiazi tution in the afternoon and then went to meet up the SR Band alumni dinner at Fish and Co. at PS there. People in attendance are : weiji and peijun, huijing and roscoe, Glenn and Stephanie , Jacquerine, Jin Ping, Sin Gen, Jinhong, Me , Shelby. then took a ride home from weiji lorry and become the Vechicle Com for weiji bringing all of them back to their destination ! whaha !!

Then went for Lunch with Kerui, Yong Chee, Sijun, Carol and Evangeline. Saw Hakim, gracia and Wiyah at KFC too. Then went back home with sijun and went to teach tution at siying house. Then go meet Huimei jie-jie for dinner at Bedok and went to her house to fixed her computer. Haha !! at least she would not spend time SMSing and Phoning people up already !!

Today first day of Sch re-open and saw Jessica on the way from Kovan ! then went back to kovan for KFC and then makan some snacks and then walked all the way back hom from Kovan. Then went to Teach tution and this ends my pathetic monday, tomolo tution !!! running !! and PERFECT PITCH !!

Today went to Bishan and watch ocean 12 with eileen and peiling, then went to da jie house for x mas party. Then went with Jinxing to Changi airport for some coffee b4 heading to orchard to see the x mas countdown aftermath !! then jinxing drove me home and it time to zzz !!!

Went for MFWE this morning, play the trombone and borrow the bach 36b and play t bone. Not bad for someone who like learn a bit from weiji and ms chong (by listening to what she had to say to weiji) and then went to CHangi Aiport for the performance. PLayed the trombone again but adris brought my t bone and i brough my own too, sianz 1/2 , but nvm mind we had great fun playing. 3 shows and the last show is the best, got one French Guy came out and demanded we play my way and the saints go marching in. and then took miss chong car home and zzz.

Monday

Phil wind concert, it is simply breath-taking. Saw lotsa of familar faces there. The NAFA ppl, the SAF band ppl , MFWE and all the others band members !! the concert is maybe too heavy for some of my juniors, cos too extracted, but i like it !! whaha !! then went to clark quay mac and had supper and took a taxi home with glen and steph!!

Went to teach tution in the monring and then sleep in the afternoon, then woke up and went to SR Band Farewell party for JC 2 @ ecp . went to the beach and celebrate Hakim's 17th birthday too at the beach, diod the usual stuff like throwing him into the water, and smashing his face into the cake, had a enjoyable time

Run thru at HCJC, saw Zhu zhen on the bus, so lucky then we tok cock all the way to HCJC !! then the run thru go on unhappily, cos i think maestro tim had higher expectation for us !! leonard and the others also make sure that we perform to at least a certain standard ! then went off to TPS CC for the monthly CCMC meeting !! sian, all of them are old enff to be my father or grandfather lor !!! then went home and zzzz

Thursday

woke up early and cancelled emmanuel tution, cos he and i are too tired and went to teach siying tution, her mum was shocked thta i increased so much for her tution. Maestro Tim concert at HCJC, report there with Yiming, ZHimin, Peifang and zhu zhen!! play a okay-lah-not-so-bad concert with Deepak and Jasmine(his GF) who went to atend, saw raymond also, kunna psycho by his poly friends to come and watch, and suprisely my younger brother also come and watch !! whaha !! had fun there and learned quite a lot of things from Maestro Tim and then went for supper at the nearby coffeeshop near SR !!

Slack the whole day and went to play and play conn t bone at SR and then went makan and went out with Jinxing and Weiji to eat Crystal Jade, Broke already man, then we went to Airport to recky the place, then went home and zzzz!!!

Woke up late in the monring and had my usual nasi lemak. Then play game till afternoon and then made my way to Changi Airport T2 for my performance, upon reaching there, i suddenly realised that they had forgetten to bring my own t bone and then i played trumpet for the firts time and become the camera man for the second time. had fun during the performance and saw my BMTC Griffin Company PC 2LT Garieth becoming the MC !! funny sight, cos the only words that came out from his mouth were all the &$&$#*&#*^#*^#% !! waga !! that in BMT man !! time flies!! tomolo last performance at SIA !!

One word : Shen (god in chinese) and too powerful whahha !! he can change the band sound by his gestures, fruitful and learned a lot from him. then went to makan st Serangoon Central and went to SHunqiang house and play play play !! then took alift from Qifeng and went back home zzzzz !!

Band prac with Marestro Timonty Reynish again. This time he work with us the dymamics level. Think he hold back too much already !! nvm see his full power then went to makan with the junios at BK @ kovan and then went back with Yong Chee and slack and sleep for a while !! whaha !!then went to type this blog !!!

Woke up very early today, cos finally i am going to Thailand for a long awaited holiday. It had been 6 long years since i had gone for a overseas holidays unless u considered Tekong, Ubin and Sentosa as offshore - overseas !! whahha !! woke up and dad drove me to CHangi international airport Terminal 2 and went to meet xuliang, glen and qifeng. Then we went to Mac donald and had our lunch. As usual glen is the first to arrive , then me, then qifeng and lastly, of course the one and only XUliang !! whaha !! (I Continue next time cos this is the second time i typing, cos my dad close the window accidentally and erase my original one ) too tired !! Then we went to the UOB Money exchange and change mroe money cos i realised that i had changed too little money already !! whaha !! then we go borad the plane already . Took lotsa of fotos of my plane sq 064 and a grp foto b4 we board the plane. As usual went thru the usual sercurity measures, the metal detecter, allamak this really remind me of NS life (ORD LOR !!! ) then played games, watch movies and listen to songs on the plane. The air steward wished us "pls think of us while having fun !! " then xuliang begun to get horny already !! Thailand time is 1 hour slower than us and at 1800, the sky is dark there already !! whaha !!then we went to look for our tour guide and he brough us to sol twin or better known as the twin towers and we went to unwind and unpack out stuffs there. Then saw our "France T-shirt Chiobu" and xuliang get horny for the second time !! whahaha !!!Then we begun to our destination , XUliang's dad dim sum and bah ku teh shop whahha !! had about 30 rounds of dim sum, nearly died !! whahah !! on our way there, the taxi driver like play need for speed underground, over taking and cutting lanes like no one biz one !! whaha !! glen say" next time i will drive properly, i still wanna to drive" then we took some photos around Xuliang's dad shop. Then we took a taxi to the skytrain interchange and went to MBK and there we brough some light liquor and snacks and of course the Dunkin Donuts !! whaha !! MBK is our cineleisure, lucky plaza and sim lim add together. It is really damn big man !! whaha !! then went back to the hotel and watch EPL !! whaha !! sleep at 1200 and then had wake up early for tomolo adventure !! whaha !! to be continued .............

Second day of Thailand. Woke up at about 0800 thailand time and have out american breakfast buffet and see the chiobu again, xuliang gets horny again and went to and for to and fro again and again to see the girl soon after the breakfast, we saw WO goh with his gang of ladies !! whahaa !!!and went to chaptuchat flea market. went there and walk until we like marching 24 km road march, from one end to another, and juz when we though that we had finshed walking thru the rows of shops, magically there would be another rows and rows of shops selling all different things, can die man . Stop to buy quite loytsa of things such as wind chimes, dream catchers, some bookmarks and drinks and bags !! whaha !! took some time to stroll outselves back to Sol Twin and put our stuff n the hotel, rest for about 30 minutes and we made out second journey to MBK (MahBoonKong) and brough a fair share of shoes, shirts, accessories and of course out DUNKIN DONUTS !! yummy. Then we were all quite dead tired and we came back when we all change into our swimming attire with the shorts we brough from the markets and went for a swim in the hotel swimming pool. Then we headed back to our hotels and then went to watch soccer and had a hot bath. Then we chio WO goh to our room and he ordered stuffs for us to makan !! whahah !! had a tired day and rest well !!

Monday

Last day of Thailand. As usual, we woke up slightly earlier at 0730 thailand time and saw chiobu again 1! whaha !! as usual again, xu liang gets horny again. Then we went to MBK for the last time to buy last minute shopping, in the end, Glen and qifeng brough lotsa of computer games !! whahah 1! original one ok but the instrutions all in Thai !! wahaha !! then we went head towards the basement and had our last meal in Thailand Tom Yam Soup and Japanese Food !! whaha !! then we headed back to our hotel and waited for the bus to drive us to the airport where we spent our time reading naruto and walking around the airport, then we went into the transit area and makan KFC there !! whaha !! then we board the plane. b4 boarding the plane, i took a pix of sunlight shining thru 2 clouds and we could see the rays of the sun clearly, line by line !! rare sight !! confirmed wallpapers quality of fotos !! then we took the plane back to Singapore. Then went to weiji house to give him some presents and took the PS 2 from him too !! whaha !! then went home and unpack and unwind and zzzzzzzzz ................

Then went to BK and makan and went to Yong CHee house and play PS 2 and then went to teach tution at emmanuel house and gave him a Gundam Seed Dinn. Happy 13 th Birthday !! whaha ! although his birthday is on friday but he going back m'sia for a holiday. Bon voyage !!

Slack the Whole day !! wondering what to do for the next 1/2 a year and trying my best to apply to be a relief teacher !!

Today is Weiji LG Trombone exam, went to suppport him with jiahao, pee wee and yong chee !! all went well and i think he will pass lah !! then went to swensen to makan to celebrate the end of weiji exam. Then went over to my house for a game of PS 2 !! then later at night , huimei jie-jie call me over the dispute of her friend havin problem with the handphone bill and it was settled already . then later at night went over to NUS with my brother to help to carry stuffs back home !! dead tired !! and going to sleep !!!

Woke up early and went to Dumman Sec to help Ms Chong to teach her sch 's band tuba !! only one student, good and better !! cos one person easlier to teach, given that the guys had only 1 year of playing the tuba, he is considered quite zai already , he started from sec 2 anyway his name is Samuel !! me at sec 3 could only play 8 notes on the tuba !! whaha ! cannot make it !! Then Teach until it is time to pack up !! whahah !! forget the time and then YEsh !! went to Jiahao house which is opposite Dumman Sec and saw his dad, say hi and his dad is off to work, after jiahao 's brother got married (24 only leh), think he sometimes very sianz at home !! then went to nearby and had my lunch and he brought me to buy Ace combat 5 , Naruto 2 and Smash Court Tennis !! whaha !! so happy !! then he went back to teach Lai Yee clarinet ( our ancestors of SR Band, she is the founder of the re-opened SR band and the first president of SR Band back in 1998!!) i am the Third and the Fourth !! whaha !! see hao lian again <-- cannot make it !!!
then i went back and try out the games for a while before going to CHIN FEE 21 st birthday at the River Vally Building, if who can find this place without flipping the street directory then u got potential to be a taxi driver, met louis, xianfen, daniel wu, joel, jimmy and Kel and her friend . went there and took a few fotos and had some things. First time went to the birthday party where she invited almost 100 over plp and got live band and dancing !! she really rich man !! we gave her a champange (dunno koe she can still drink, she looked very "blurred" already when so many ppl propsed a toss to her) !! and then went to BORDERS and meet up with Jinxing and Weiji to our Favourite Hangout - CHANGI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT !! whaha !! order BK and Starbucks and drove to Changi beach to makan and we reach home about 0200 !! whaha !!!

Woke up and early and went to Toa payoh and met Ting at the interchange. Why do girls like to be Late one, why always the guys had to wait for girls, then i waited for about 30 mintues after the stipulated time before she turn up and then took a bus and went to toa payoh south CC for full band , played quite a lot of songs and had fun sight reading, then there is one tuba girl from Damai sec , she quite pro leh !! whaha !! can take over my place already, whaha !! then finally i can go percussion !! then went to see T bone choir jig at Paragon and managed to catch 3 songs b4 it ended ! then went bring Tingz home and we go had Soya Bean Curd and Drink at Hougang Green !! then went back home and Returned PS 2 to weiji and burned I Had a date with the vampire 3 episode 11 to Jinxing and then i called this sunday a day

What did i do on friday ?!?! DEKIT lor !!! no more assignments for me already from SAF Band !! Yeah baby Yeah, went to de kit in the morning in CIVILLIAN CLOTHES leh !! whaha !!! then hunt high and low for Mdm Jasmine, Major Tng , SSG Terry and SSG Ridzwan. After dekitting, which is such a simple process i went to the library and photostat a lot of tuba concertos and bind them whahah !!! can practise i till i SIAO already !! then went to practise drum set and tuba and a bit of flute and tok cock with weiye and the others flautists till the others came back from COG. Then went to practise Tuba concerto part with Jinxing, He always another practise fanatic like weiji, juz came back from parade then straight away goand practise already, i play the piano acconpanment part for jiinxing and weiji, siao !! the piano part like playing chorale like thta muz read so many notes at one time, nearly died, then play for quit long about 2 hours then took Jinxing home. Then Decided to go to Pee house to "thorn" and did not sleep the whole night playing PS 2 and watching Movies all night. Then went out for supper with xuliang car .

Saturday
Did not sleep and went off from Pee house to Woodlands interchange and e had big breakfast at Macs. Then eveyone went back. On the journey to home, fell asleep. Then when i reach home, straight away go and sleep like a pig till afternoon. then woke up and had my dinner and then meet jinxing and weiji. firstly we went to BORDERS and hunt for CD and Jinxing brought 2 and Weiji brought 1. Then we proceed to Changi Airport for chocolate hunting and Coffee Hunting. Did nothing much except calling the tour agency and confirming which hotel that we are staying, and alas confirm staying in sol twin hotel which is a 4 star rating hotel, with all the basic ammenities, and i think it is OKay lah, cos 2Wo goh also stayed in that hotel when he was on holiday to Thailand !! then went to play PS 2 and went for Yesh !! tution again , emmanuel, consule him a lot, finds him very inert to his peers but not to me and i persuade him abou the BULLIES in his class. Find him to be easily influenced, ya lah, kids nowsday are easily influenced, one wrong step and that it for ur teen years !! then taught him some chinese , which i think it is like ma chiam no use, cos i dun have the "Shou Ce" with him and i cannot test him his Han Yu Pin Yin, sianz 1/2. Then went to NTUC to do some last min shopping for tomolo PARTY. Then play a bit of GB with Karen and tok cock with the rest of my MSN Buddies.

SAF Band Basketball tournament. Woke up late and had to take a taxi to teach in time for the competition. reach in time at about 0800. Then wait and wait and wait !! SAF Band Management CMI, confirmed this basketball thingy last mintue stuff again. Then went to play Basketball, out teams consists of Zhi En, Soonwei, Glen, Jeffrey, Kian Keong, Qi Feng, Max Hebert, Pee and Me. played 3 matches won 2 and lose 1 (<---- ya to Band C who got Lin "the rough man who get everyone in the opposite team injured" Chao.

First Match 17-0. (Against Band A 2nd Team)

Second Match 8-9 (<-- ya lose one point bcos of his "brilliant Free throw where he jumped and
shoot his free throw and and rough play where he injured ppl like no one biz )

Third Match 8-4 (Against Training Wing, where i scored 6 points )

Fourth Match 6-4 (Against Band B 2nd team, but we are monekeying around when it started to rain at Half time. )

Then i go bath and change and went for Sr Band. But before that went To AMK S11 for Japanese Cuisine with Xuliang and Junming, then we all went out seprate and i tok 136 with xuliang and zhi en, they were going to have their haircut. Then i went back SR to have full band , WAhahah, the lats row really got a lot of people, i dun have place to sit and play, they sight read persis, which is a major disaster and play jericho( where there is some parts where it is really GOLD Standard, but there are aome parts which is like ...... aiyo need more practise and blending) then went to BK with them to makan, Leonard tagged along and me jiahao went to eat at the saem table where kerui and the rest of them eat at another table, heard from them that they are performing at Orchard on dec 4 <--- whahaha the OLD COG days man. then Jiahao and Me discussed some band techniques with Leonard, and he told me to go play everything one octave down and do the 3 things that a band instructor shd possesses,

1) Theory
2) Conducting
3) Various Techniques and Methods on Teaching Band Instruments

out of the 3 , i can only make it in 1 section which is theory, the other 2 i trying my best to learn and try to make it whahha !! then end the day with Yong Chee coming to my house to Burn JA Trombone CD !! whaha !!! then played GB ay night !!

Thursday

Did nothing but sleep all day, except playing some musical instruments and going for tution, my tutees having exams tomolo, wishing them all the luck and tyconess they need in the upcoming primary 5 exams english and chinese paper 1 !!!

Woke up quite late this morning at 1100 , phew record man, then went to play PS 2 till 1700 b4 going to meet weiji for SIA Band, practise my trombone, me actually can play up to high high D !! record man !! can go play that bossa song already weiji !!! whahha !! me need to practise my high notes, thanks to the ART OF BRASS PLAYING BOOK, when i read everytime, i read something different !! wgaga ! that all tomolo got dental appointment to clean my teeth and to take out my teeth !! waga !!! that all folks !!!

Tuesday

Woke up quite early and then went to Nee Soon Dental again, yesh for the third time, then went to cleanse my teeth and join them for full band and took the Thailand stuffs from Qifeng !! then went back home and slack and watch star wars episode 2 and then went for tution !!
